Pharmaceutical Analysis
250 mice were given a variety of different drug regimens over a 45 day period, and the metastatic spread was measured. Of the different drugs, Capomulin, Infubinol, Ketapril, and the placebo were examined in this analysis.
While metastatic spread still occurred throughout the 45 days for each drug treatment, Capomulin and Infubinol lowered the average number of metastatic sites.
As evidenced by this graph, the average tumor volume decreased as opposed to increase with the drug Capomulin.
The survival rate of the mice that received Capomulin was much greater than any other drug in the trial.
The above bar graph shows that there was a 19.5% positive change in tumor volume (the tumor decreased in size) over the 45 day trial with the drug Capomulin.
Conclusion: Of the drug regimens used in the trial, the mice that were given Capomulin had a much higher survival rate, lower tumor volume, slower metastatic spread, and an actual decrease in tumor volume than the rest of the mice.
